i sit by the river of my life and allow the water to lap at my feet a momentary reprieve from the constant fight to keep my head above water i take a moment to let it all sink in the feel of the wind on my still drying skin the song of the birds in my freshly cleaned ears the sensation of water that might not pull me under after all at least not yet I pause and let it all sink in let myself remember and forget the ebb and flow the sound of water over stone this water keeps on moving and i too must move with it swimming up stream is exhilarating and exhausting all at once but when i stop fighting here i still am i will never have the open eye

I do not belong to this world we live in. I am a daughter of the sea, I can feel it in my blood. I am a child of the sky, the wind flows through my bones. I can feel it call to me in the wind, whispering my name like a long lost lover. They send the fog to wrap my bones, warm my flesh as everyone else crawls into their clothes. I know I haven't been active on here in awhile, but I haven't had much to post. I've mostly been editing Freshman Fifteen like crazy, trying to get it ready to send to publishers at the end of the summer. Tonight I wrote the first chapter to the sequel, Mirror Mirror. Actually wrote, didn't just talk about it like I have been for the last year now. I've also been working on another book, just planning it out so far, called Summer of the Recluse. My writing is rusty but it feels good to be doing so again. I'm also reading a tonne of books and doing research for my independent psych study I'm doing in the fall as I head into the final year of

Happy New Year everyone

Sorry I have been so dead on here. I've mostly just been knitting and rewatching Sherlock (again and again) for the last month, so apologies. I now have tumblr if anyone is interested (hereunderthe75stars) and twitter (@oftheseaandsky) if any of you cool peeps use that. I hope you all have a wonderful 2013. 2012 was absolutely horrid for me, but thank God I'm still here. 2013 is setting itself up to be a difficult year, but well worth it in the end. I have some resolutions, part of them being to write more, especially Mirror Mirror (the sequel  to Freshman Fifteen). I'm in the mood for poetry if anyone is willing to share. Can be your own w
